Mangrove Jack Anglers Fishing Tournament

Mangrove Jack Fishing Tournament this weekend in southeast Queensland.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and land some good Jack's.

Some of the lures that will be prizes during the comp.

Models include 'Lil Jack' , 'Mugil' , 'Pili' and 'Demon'

Lengths 65mm to 77mm.

Murray Cod fishing at Glenlyon Dam

Murray Cod caught during a recent lure 'testing' trip to Glenlyon Dam.

Lures of 75mm to 150mm were used , with the smaller lures up to 100mm scoring all the fish.

Lloyd with a little fat Cod on a "Toebiter" 85mm

Owen with an even fatter 77cm Cod on a "McPerch" 100mm deep.

Some of the 'larger' prototype lures tested during the trip.

The largest lure , a 150mm blue 'McPerch' , trolled at 10+ metres.
